I am proud to serve as the Founder and CEO of Oaken Shield Wealth Management. With nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, I have dedicated my career to financial planning, advice, portfolio construction, monitoring, and retirement planning. In 2005, I earned the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) designation, followed by the Certified Investment Management Analysis (CIMA®) certification in 2007.
My journey began at Fairleigh Dickenson University before embarking on a career focused on understanding the complexities of finances, economics, geopolitics, and psychology. At the age of 27, I made the decision to transition from working on the major exchanges in Chicago to enlisting to serve in Desert Shield with the 1st Ranger Battalion. Although the war concluded within 72 hours while I was still in basic training, I served with honor and pride alongside the 1st Ranger Battalion.
I find joy in guiding my clients through the maze of wealth management, helping them navigate the intricacies of investment decisions and financial strategies. What drives me the most is the opportunity to educate and protect my clients. I derive immense satisfaction from debunking misconceptions about investing and steering individuals away from potentially harmful financial decisions. I firmly believe that the greatest service I offer is maintaining a clear perspective and preventing costly mistakes.
Beyond my professional commitments, I have actively participated in various community organizations, including serving on the Board of the St. Lucie County's Boys and Girls Club, membership in the Fort Pierce Exchange Club, 3rd degree knighthood in the Knights of Columbus, and current membership in the Ft. Pierce Rotary.
Originally from Nanuet, New York, I now reside in Fort Pierce, Florida, with my fiancée, Maria. As a proud parent of two adult children and a doting grandfather to a grandson, family remains a cornerstone of my life. During my leisure time, you may find me engrossed in books covering diverse subjects such as history, finance, and cooking. I also have a passion for golfing and cooking, activities that bring balance and fulfillment to my life outside the office.
